Все мы наверняка хоть раз оказывались сидящими перед загадочным экраном глубокого цвета с бегущей полосой и непрерывно отсчитываемыми процентами выполняемой компьютером работы по установке какой-либо программы; очень часто этот процесс довольно длительный и заставляет в течение долгого времени с нетерпением ждать результата; при этом возникает ощущение, что вы целиком сами погружены в «большую комнату» процесса установки. Таким образом, данное выражение описывает состояние человека, устанавливающего программу на компьютер.
